How the Honors Program Made me Realize my Capabilities as a STEM Student

Before I was admitted into the Honors program, I lacked the confidence that was needed to succeed. I did not have high expectations of myself and doubted my abilities. However, after taking Honors General Chemistry I, I realized that I was capable of more than what I had originally believed. Even when the coursework was challenging, I could push through it as long as I put in effort and hard work. Therefore, the Honors program allowed me to realize my true potential and I do not regret being a part of it. I am registered to take Honors Calculus II, Honors General Chemistry II and start research under Dr. Paris Svoronos during the spring 2016.
